When I don’t like what I have made I often use these paintings as pieces for a collage. Ripping my work into parts always throws a whole new perspective on the work. One snippet can suddenly be beautiful or mean something, while it didn’t do that in the original piece. It’s a bit of a game, I think, but also an exercise in improvisation. Telling new stories using old parts. Like Snow White is now eaten by the Big Bad Wolf…
